I have recently gotten into minimalism a la steve reich, terry riley, michael nyman et al. This is a piece I wrote for big band that tries to put some of the principles from that style of music into a big band context. 5 saxes, 4 trombones, 4 trumpets plus rhythm section. I played all the brass and saxes and programmed the rhythm section.
